About me – Sex Talk with Jillian Mae

Hi! I’m Jillian Mae, a sexologist from Australia.

My ‘why’?

I have always been a bit of a “sex nerd”. I began working in adult retail in my early 20s, and marveled at how open and honest (but so often misinformed) the general public were about their own bodies, sexuality, and sex education. I thought that was wildly unacceptable, so started an academic journey to change that – collecting sexological resources along the way.

My ‘how’?

I started with a Bachelor of Psychology (Criminology & Justice) to begin with a solid foundation of mental health know-how. I also completed my Master of Sexology in 2025, graduating with distinction (that’s nerd for “ya did good”). Now? I’m focused on delivering accessible, engaging content about sex and relationships, so HOPEFULLY you’re down for that.
